Italy
Five hubs. Hidden houses.
We source properties that can hold a South Asian wedding, and we leave the ones that overcharge an international client or cannot accommodate the rites.
- Lake ComoA primary hub. London couples come for the weather and a curfew the UK will not give them, with elderly guests still under about three hours from home. New York couples come for an editorial wedding, often with 100 to 150 guests. Zurich is about an hour away.
- TuscanyA primary hub for multi-day buyouts. The same London route: better weather, and a fire and a late night the UK venues refuse.
- Amalfi CoastA primary hub, with Tuscany and Lake Como, for complex multi-day celebrations.
- RomeA primary hub for the same multi-day buyouts.
- PugliaA primary hub, held to the same test: the Agni permitted, the Sangeet possible, the kitchen open to an Indian chef.
A proper three-day wedding for 100 to 120 guests starts at €80,000 and runs past €150,000. Luxury buyouts go to €250,000 and beyond. A multi-day venue buyout in this market runs from about €12,000 to €40,000 and up. We filter for houses that can actually hold the week.
Getting your guests there.
London is about two hours. Toronto is eight to nine. Zurich to Lake Como is about an hour. The airports are Milan Malpensa, Milan Linate, Bergamo, Florence, Pisa, Rome, Naples, and Bari.
Guests on Indian, Pakistani, or Bangladeshi passports need a Schengen visa, and appointments can take weeks or months. We provide invitation letters. Start four to six months ahead. Elderly guests need transfer times, step-free houses, and medical access thought through before the villa is held.
